Ashburton Avenue - Site B, Croton Heights

Of the two Croton Heights projects, site B completed construction first. Both are medium rise urban apartment buildings in a neighborhood of similar scale.

This building contains 60 units on a corner site. 5 stories of apartments are above a one story base of community spaces. The floor plan is a typical apartment block with double loaded corridor, elevator at the corner and fire stairs at the ends. Units are typical 1 & 2 bedroom, with a few 3's. The massing is reminiscent of older New York City apartment buildings of heavy articulated base, lighter mid section, and a pronounced cornice line.
